Wood Uses - Wood Composites

Composites combine two or more materials -- typically a reinforcing material with a resin -- to produce car parts, building materials, and other products. Approximately 3 billion pounds of composite products are manufactured annually, according to the Composites Fabricators Association.

Natural fibers, such as wood, are a small percentage of the market, but are predicted to expand tremendously for use in particleboard, medium-density fiberboard, etc.
