RCA in partnership with the Government Purchasing Project operates the DC Chlorine Free Buying Club. Members order and receive paper individually, but as a club, we obtain a discounted price due to our purchasing volume.

Since our inception in 1999, we have purchased more than 50 tons of recycled paper, conserving more than 500,000 gallons of water and 300,000 kilowatt hours of energy, as well as more than 1,000 full grown trees and 400 cubic yards of landfill space.

The paper purchased is 100% post-consumer recycled content and Processed Chlorine Free (PCF) which ensures that no dioxins are produced. Dioxin is a highly potent environmental toxin that has been linked to numerous human diseases, including cancer.
