Salvaged and reclaimed lumber comes from buildings, bridges and other deconstructed structures. Wood, damaged from storms, disease or insect infestation, is also salvaged from waterways and urban woodlots. When purchasing "good wood" products, consumers should find out where the wood originated, so as not to be misled about the source.
